Sanjana DeSilva is an upcoming filmmaker who is focused on creating culturally and socially relevant content. She graduated from the University of California, Riverside in 2017 with a degree in Theater, Film and Digital Production. With her production company 'The Angry Elephant Productions, she created shorts such as 'Not Forever' which has reccieved honorable mentions from the Lost Angeles Experimental Film Festival and Hollywood New Directors and was featured on the television show 'Broad Perspectives,' in addition to other works such as 'The Therapist,' 'Kevin: A Dancer,' 'The Social Romance,' and an ongoing webseries about human perspective. She has worked as an intern 'Red Carpet Express,' 'The Actor's Conference,' a student representative for Adobe and as an assistant for 'Serendipity Films.' On set she works as an assistant director and lighting technician, and teaches documentary film to underrepresented youth with the program New Voices for Youth.
