Monica West is a writer, producer and actor based in the Bay Area. She is the show-runner and star of the original series, Best Thing You’ll Ever Do (Seed&Spark, Amazon). In 2017, Best Thing won Best Short Drama Series at HBO and Raptor Films sponsored ITVFest and Best Web Series at Bushwick Film Festival among other awards. The series has screened internationally at Raindance Film Festival and in NY Nitehawk Cinema as part for Caryn Coleman's "Represent" Program. Monica’s comedic music videos with MVPleez have been featured by New York Magazine, Huffington Post Comedy, Official Comedy and Above Average. She recently produced Marika S. Cotter’s Nordic sci-fi thriller short, Surrender Heaven, slated to premiere at the Cannes’ Short Film Corner in May 2018. Monica's feature about a broken factory community in West Allis, WI recently made it through to the second round of consideration for Sundance's Development Track 2019.
