Mimi Steinberg

Mimi Steinberg A native New Yorker, Mimi Steinberg is a graduate with a double major in History and Art History at Hobart & William Smith Colleges, polished her literary skills at Playwrights Horizons and studied filmmaking at NYU. Mimi wrote, produced, and directed the short film “Call Waiting,” which was funded by NYNEX (Verizon) and wardrobe by Donna Karan. Mimi directed the music video “Honey Come Lately” for the band The Thrill Cycle with the lead guitarist of the Smithereens, as well as the music video “Ruby Roses”. Mimi’s screenplay “To Hades and Back,” was sold to Helkon International Pictures, and the historical drama screenplay inspired by a true story titled “A Call to Arms” which was developed under the tutelage of Jack Lechner. Additionally, Mimi created and wrote “Sam’s Sleuths,” which was developed with Henry Winkler. Mimi recently adapted her screenplay into a novel JUDITH, and she's in pre-production for her short film "Currency" set to shoot in NY this fall.
