Laura James “LJ” is an American television director, short documentary producer, acting coach improv teacher. She produced an award winning short documentary called “A Friend Comes To Visit - A comic conversation about a touchy topic: Menstruation". She is currently directing television and making a short somewhere adding more content to the digitalscape. LJ was chosen for the highly competitive inaugural DGA Director Development Initiative and also just finished the immersive Disney/ABC Network Multicamera 360 Program. She is also a Co-Chair of the Women’s Steering Committee at the DGA. She loves having fun while getting work done and has become one of Hollywood’s exciting up and coming television directors.
