Kristen Hester

KRISTEN HESTER is a writer, director, and producer. Her short film, Shift, which won 2016 Best Short Film at LA Femme Film Festival is currently screening at several festivals across the US. Shift is an adaptation of feature script, Daddy's Girl, a 2015 Sundance Screenwriter Lab finalist.
Her short film, The Middlegame, starring Kelly McCreary (Grey’s Anatomy) and Craig ‘muMs’ Grant (HBO’s Oz) premiered at the 2017 Urbanworld Film Festival. She shadowed Emmy Award-winning Director, Mimi Leder on HBO’s The Leftovers. Kristen also developed Bruce Dern’s 1980’s punk coming-of-age film, Coast. In 2014 also wrapped her directorial music video debut, 12th & Gibson, written by No. 1 ASCAP singer/songwriter, Lance Carpenter.
Other credits include: creating sitcom pilot, Served, with 30 Rock Director/Producer Don Scardino; produced short film, The Dress, winner of 2011 Best Ensemble at the LA Comedy Festival; and producing Chekhov’s, The Seagull Off-Broadway.
