Kirsten Carthew Kirsten Carthew’s debut feature film The Sun At Midnight (writer, director, producer), is a wilderness adventure drama that was shot at the Arctic Circle. The film has screened at 40+ festivals and won 9 awards internationally, several of which include juried awards for best feature film, including Best Narrative film at Geena Davis’ Bentonville Film Festival (2017). The film had its Canadian release in 2017 and is currently airing on HBO in Canada and Europe. Theatrical releases are being scheduled for the US and Australia in 2018. Kirsten’s short genre film Fish Out of Water, premiered at Fantasia Film Festival (Montreal, 2015), and went on to win awards and play the international cult festival circuit for two years. Recent screenwriting credits also include the Brazilian theatrically released feature Uma Loucura de Mulher (2016), directed by Marcus Ligocki, starring Brazilian A-lister Mariana Ximenes.
