Christy Lee Hughes With an extensive improv and theater background, Christy studied with UCB and The Groundlings. She was the lead in the National Tour of Beauty & The Beast. She was also cast as Juror 5, in Twelve Angry Men, originally written for a male actor. NYSTI casting opened up gender in the auditions and changed the title to 12 Angry Jurors. ​ She played the role of Janice opposite Melissa Leo, in Predisposed, a drama written by Ron Nyswaner, directed by Phil Dorling. Predisposed was an Official Selection of the Sundance Film Festival. ​ Christy was cast as Sydney McQueen, a snarky, opinionated art dealer who has an addiction to social media in Shoddy House B&B, a comedy created and directed by Nora Dunn. She was seen on Jimmy Kimmel, HBO, and Channing, produced by Rabbit Bandini Productions. Christy loves collaborating and has written three pilots and a feature length screenplay. Christy also works as the Entertainment Advisor for The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media.
