Andrea Ashton New Yorker Andrea Ashton is an award-winning filmmaker with four short films, including one archived with the Academy, and two TV and web pilots that have garnered numerous film festival awards, critical love, and thousands of YouTube views. Her latest endeavor, the short film “Greater Good”, was part of the inaugural Women’s Weekend Film Challenge in New York City, made with no money and all volunteers. Despite the lack of time, resources, and personnel, it’s being accepted into film festivals across the continent. Having recently come off a month of shadowing multiple directors on the FOX television series “Gotham”, Andrea has eyes on directing episodic. She also has several feature films in development including including a finalist for the Film Independent Screenwriting Lab, as well as multiple screenwriting competitions. A member of Cinefemme and NYC Women Filmmakers, Andrea’s an active proponent of bringing more female voices to screens big and little.
