Amy Starbin

Amy Starbin Amy Lowe Starbin hails from the Catskills. After studying drama/lit at Hartwick College and Oxford University, she earned an MFA in film production at USC. Her thesis short MILK AND HONEY won a CINE Eagle and a screenwriting nod from CineWomen. Her feature dramedy KELLY & CAL premiered at SXSW 2014, and won the Gamechanger Award for first-time director Jen McGowan. Starring Juliette Lewis, the film was picked up for a theatrical release by IFC, and is now available on Showtime and Netflix. Her latest projects include the indie drama LILIAN, in pre-production with Alfred Molina attached for his directorial debut; I CAN CHANGE, an emotional sci-fi set in the near future, and DOUBLE OR NOTHING, a dramedy about senior sisters driving cross-country in an RV. She is currently developing a sci-fi short about an unlikely encounter between a migrant family making a dangerous desert border crossing and the extraterrestrial being invested in their fate.
