Alice Shindelar

Alice Shindelar Alice Shindelar is a recipient of the 2018 Columbia University Bluelist. She has written and directed a number of shorts as well as branded virtual reality content. Her most recent project Four Walls was honored with a WEBBY. Four Walls is a virtual reality documentary with Rashida Jones and the International Rescue Committee that, invites viewers to experience the lives of Syrian refugees living in Lebanon. Her short films Crazy Bitch and I Want You Inside Me have played at over 35 festivals including Sitges, and FantasticFest and have been purchased by AMC. Alice has worked as a poetry teacher, a traveling spoken word artist, a sex-educator, a dildo slinger at a sex-positive adult toy store, and as a medical actor. She currently lives in Los Angeles and works as Program Director for a global community of female directors called Film Fatales. She graduated with her MFA in film writing / directing from Columbia University.
