WUTI Goes Idyllwild - Women Under the Influence

WUTI Goes Idyllwild is a three-day celebration of groundbreaking cinema directed by women, for everyone. Part festival, part cinematic odyssey, part summer camp.

Our mission is to share bold stories by women and non-binary filmmakers, often overlooked or underseen and to create real-world community through culture, grounded in a shared passion for cinema. In late September 2026, expect trailblazing cinema, rediscovered classics, inspirational filmmaker conversations, workshops and happenings. The weekend is shaped by an egalitarian spirit and genuine connection. Conversations flow, ideas spark, audiences and artists meet on equal ground. There’s joy and spontaneity — dancing, laughter, surprise and screenings under the stars.

All set against the magical mountain town of Idyllwild, just 2.5 hrs from LA.

“It reminded me of the intimacy and excitement of the early days at Sundance.” – Kimberly Peirce (Director)
