This is a true story of courage, survival and hope despite incredible political oppression. Peter Kantor is the only known man to successfully escape Communist Czechoslovakia at this time, by scuba-diving across the border into the free West. RED STAR: River to Freedom documents Peter's historic first return to his homeland on the 50th anniversary of his escape.
This feature documentary is complementary to Michelle Kantor's biopic narrative currently in development. It is written both for FEATURE FILM and EPISODIC TELEVISION, but has not sold yet. Ms. Kantor holds the Life Rights to Mr. Kantor's story.
