WHO IS CINEFEMME?

Established in 2002, we are one of the oldest, most respected 501-(c)(3) organizations dedicated to advancing professional equality and career advancement for women in film. Cinefemme filmmakers persevere with our support despite numerous obstacles. We are a small boutique organization focused on providing women with necessary tools to get their films made - in particular the nonprofit backing and financial apparatus needed to qualify for government grants and tax-deductible donation. Cinefemme only takes a small percentage of sponsored project funds it processes. Nonprofits are struggling with loss of federal funding, industry upheaval and continued economic recovery. Your tax-deductible donation makes a huge impact to amplify and strengthen women’s voices in the arts. Cinefemme is a unique, invaluable staple in the independent film community. Moving into 2026, we aim to support more groundbreaking filmmakers than ever.
