Trina Espinoza is taking aim at the business of beauty. Her YouTube channel, Ms. Beautyphile, is mythbusting personal care products with science. If you’ve ever wondered if aluminum in deodorant is bad for you, what mayo and lotion have in common, or the difference between a drug and cosmetic, then Ms. Beautyphile’s your geek--err I mean gal! Trina Espinoza has earned appearances with the American Chemical Society and PBS, a regional Emmy nomination, and most recently, an invitation to speak at SXSW. As an emerging creator, Standard (talent agency) and the Internet Creators Guild (ICG) selected her channel for the Better Elevation Project. Mashable listed her channel as one of “6 YouTube channels making learning about science fun”.
