Eva von Schweinitz, born in Germany, is a New York-based interdisciplinary filmmaker with a background in theater who creates both narrative and documentary work. Fascinated with how we build our realities around us, she plays with the boundaries between the real and the imaginary, striving to reconfigure the audience's perception of what seems familiar, and revealing our world as constructed, therefore changeable. Her films have screened at Tribeca Film Festival, Palm Springs ShortFest, International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, and other festivals around the world. Eva has presented her projects and related research in the form of workshops and lectures at Cologne Game Lab, The Office for Creative Research, and Ammerman Center for Arts and Technology. She holds a BA in Film from International Filmschool Cologne and an MFA in Performance and Interactive Media Arts from Brooklyn College.
