Carmella Cardina Carmella Cardina's first narrative project was a short film, “...the fan!”. Reminiscent of the films of Jacques Tati and a precursor to webisodes, this quirky short was screened at the 1998 IFFM, Kino Film Festival in Manchester, UK, Kent International Film Festival and the 1998 Spring FlixTour. Cardina won the reelshort.com online film competition for “the ...fan” and was honored during the New Directors Short Film Showcase presented by reelshort.com, the American Cinematheque and Universal Pictures. In 2001, Ms. Cardina wrote and directed the indie feature, “The Tempest”, based on the play by William Shakespeare. Cardina has produced and/or directed projects for Showtime, Sky Atlantic, ABC Digital among others. In addition, she’s written and directed music videos and short films. She is currently developing a series aimed at exposing the public to non-profit organizations around the world, a comedy series, and a feature, “Red Dirt Girl”.
